Track Leader: Pamela McClure

Bio:
Pamela McClure serves as CEO of McClure Muntsinger Public Relations (MMPR), which provides publicity strategy and implementation as well as marketing strategy to those in religious publishing. McClure and Jana Muntsinger launched MMPR in 1999 and have recently managed publicity and marketing campaigns for Tyndale Kids, The Parable Group, WaterBrook Press, Zondervan Publishing House, W Publishing Group, Multnomah Publishers, Loyola Press, Tommy Nelson and numerous other CBA suppliers.

Before co-founding MMPR, McClure spent eight years in the public relations department of Word Publishing (now W Publishing Group), one of the most successful Christian publishers in the CBA industry. When she left in August 1999, McClure was Director of Public Relations and oversaw all publicity efforts for the publishing house. Her responsibilities included creating and implementing campaign strategies, maintaining creative communication with retailers, cost controlling for the department and establishing long-term relationships with trade and consumer media. McClure also served on the Women's Press Committee, Word Publishing Board and Word Titling Committee.

During her tenure at Word, McClure enjoyed working on numerous best-selling book campaigns including titles from Barbara Johnson (Living Somewhere Between Estrogen and Death), Charles Swindoll (Great Lives From God's Word Series), Bill and Lyndi McCartney (Sold Out), Deion Sanders (Power, Money & Sex), Kirk Franklin (Church Boy), John MacArthur (The MacArthur Study Bible) and novelist Sigmund Brouwer (The Weeping Chamber). McClure worked to form a publicity strategy for introducing Word fiction authors (Penelope Stokes, Randall Arthur, Dean Briggs, Tom Williams, etc.) to retailers and consumers as well as to the media. In addition, she designed creative Christian school promotions for new children's titles from the WORDkids!(TM) imprint.

McClure, who earned a B.S. in Education, previously spent five years in middle school and elementary classrooms where she worked to encourage gifted students in the areas of leadership, creative writing and performance. McClure, a native Texan, has spent the last several years enjoying the vivid seasons of Franklin, Tennessee, where she resides with her husband Glenn, son Max and twin daughters Lexie and Roxie.
